Maldives cricketers preparing for SAF Games |

Maldives U19 cricketers are reaching the end of their preparations for the 2010 SAF Games to be held in Bangladesh at the end of the January. They are presently in Sri Lanka training and playing practice matches with Sri Lankan school teams.
They have played four practice matches winning two and losing two. The U19s beat DS Senenayake College and ST. Peters College and lost to ST. Jospeh College and Ananda College.
In the first match against DS Senenayke Maldives U19 made 157 for 5 in 20 overs with Jilwaz and Hassan top scoring with 32 and 26 runs respectively. The Senenayke team were all out in 131 runs. In the second match the U19s lost to St. Jospeh College by 8 wickets. Maldives lost the third match by 81 runs to Ananda College and won the fourth practice match by 10 runs against St. Peters College.
