Pakistan posted a thumping 10- wicket win over Maldives in T-20 Cricket of the 11th South Asian Games at the Sher -e- Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur in Dhaka on Monday 01 February 2010.

Chasing 89 runs for victory, Pakistani opening pair helped their side reach the target in 9.4 overs. Umar Amin hammered 38 while Ali Waqas hit the highest 43.

Earlier, Maldives won the toss and decided to bat first.  BuT  inexpereince at this level ment that they were unable  put on impressive performance. They managed to score 88 for 7 wickets. Maldivian opener Hussam Ibrahim scored the highest 27 and Hassan made 15 runs. Kamran Hassan took 3 wickets for his team.

This is the first time that Maldives has played a team from cricket's leading nations. According to Maldives coach Maldives target was to  post a three figure score and restrict Pakistan from making up the deficit before the 10th over. Maldives youngsters should be commended for their performance and for competitiveness they showed.
