United Indians A v Team Kurunba
The two best teams played the best match of the tournament in an exciting Final match at Fuvahmulah Cricket Ground.
United Indians batted first and totalled a tournament best of 121 runs. Mithun 30, Naufal 30, Jinesh 27 and Alex 20 batted superbly picking off the pretty good bowling from Team Kurunba.
In reply, and chasing a 122 target, Team Kurunba could not get anywhere close depsite a valiant effort from all the batsmen – reaching 62 from their 6 Overs.
United Indians A won by 59 runs.
Tournament awards were presented by Fuvahmulah City Mayor Elect Ismail Rafeeq.

Young Tigers v United Indians B
Young Tigers won the toss and decided to field first and it looked like only 1 team could win this match from the first ball.
United Indians B openers and No. 3 batsman all fell before 7 runs had been reached.
Shobuz was the pick of the bowlers grabbing 2 wickets as the Indian B Team collected 64 runs for 3 ickets off their 6 Overs.
In Reply, it was plain sailing for the two openers as they both reached 24 in little in the 4th Over.
Young Tigers won the match by 6 wickets.

Match 2 – 23.04.21
United Indians A v Team Kurunba
United Indians A won the toss and decided to field.
Former Maldives U19 National player Azin Rafeeq looked like he hasnt been away from the game for over 2 years with a sublime knock of 25 from 11 balls before he had to retire.
Steady support for the team was there by Jinan and Yaneeu. Ahmed Zaadh spanked 2 big 6s as Team Kurunba limped through the last few Overs to reach 58 runs.
Last years T20 Champions, United Indians A took only 2.5 overs to take the maximum points in this game. Mithun (17), Jinesh (12), and Naufal 26 made it 59 runs for the loss of no wickets.

Young Tigers v United Indians A
United Indians A won the toss and chose to field first.
For the second match running the Young Tigers got off to an awful start scoring just 6 runs from 16 balls until Shubo and Shagor managed to get into double figures each.
Young Tigers managing a limp 53 runs. Tight bowling all round from the Indians as they took 5 wickets.
The target was picked off in 3.3 Overs without losing a wicket by the strong partnership of Mithun (25) and Noufal (22).
United Indians A won by 6 wickets.
Match 4 – 24.04.21
Fuvahmulah Cricket Academy v Dhadimagu Knight Riders
Dhadimagu Knight Riders, making their cricket debut gave an encouraging and enjoyable fight. Bowling first, they took 3 wickets from the Academy batsmen until Hassan Mutheeu came in and fired some quick runs to set a target of 84.
In reply, Captain Areesh came out and blasted his way to 29 runs from 6 balls as he sent the ball skyward smashing 4 sixes. After Areesh retired the other batsmen chipped in to come within 12 runs of victory.
Fuvahmulah Cricket Academy won by 12 runs.
Match 5 – 25.04.21
Fuvahmulah Cricket Academy v United Indians B
United Indians B Team chose to field first and bowled pretty tight to start with. Only Hassan Mutheeu troubling the scorers with 24 from 18 balls as the Academy set a target of 75.
The Indian Team got off to a flyer with Man of the Match Dr. Bashkar leading the chase with some fine shots and clever rotation of strike to bring the team to victory in the last over. Academy player Rakin Hassan bagging 2 athletic catches.
United Indians B won by 4 wickets.
Match 6 – 25.04.21
Team Kurunba v Dhadimagu Knight Riders
Team Kurunba got off to a terrible start with all 5 first batsmen falling for less than 7 runs. It took junior Mabsar (27) retired to steer his team to 91 runs off their 6 Overs.
The new team, ‘Dhadimagu Knight Riders’ battled through their allotted Overs reaching 54 runs. Once again it was Areesh who top scored, backed up by Faidh Rafeeq. Rai bowled sensibly to snaffle 2 wickets.
Team Kurunba won by 37 runs.
Match 7 – 26.04.21
Young Tigers v Team Kurunba
A low scoring match that still went to the last ball as Parvez came back from retirement to hit a six to win the game for the Young Tigers.
Team Kurunba won the toss and managed a careful 65 off 6 Overs. On loan from FCA players Zaadh (22) and Mabsar (11), were the top scorers.
Chasing the target there was only one batsman that made a difference – Parvez with his 31 off 18 balls.
Young Tigers won by 1 wicket.
Match 8 – 26.04.21
Fuvahmulah Cricket Academy v United Indians A
Batting first, the Academy team battled against the good right bowling of the Indian A Team. Haikal, Maan and Saneeh chipping in to set a target of 69.
United Indians sent out their best batsman first up and smashed 30 runs from the first over.
From the second over, the youngsters battled back but it was tough ask to defend 38 runs from the next 5 Overs.
Batsmen Noufal, Mithun and Jinesh controlled the innings and won in the 5th Over.
United Indians A won by 5 wickets.

Dhadimagu Knight Riders v United Indians B
Batting first, Dhadimagu Knight Riders batsmen all chipped in to bring a total of 47 runs from their 6 Overs.
United Indians B bowled superbly with 2 wickets for Dr. Bhaskar and 3 for new player Sethunath.
United Indians B won by 6 wickets.
Match 10 – 27.04.21
Fuvahmulah Cricket Academy v Team Kurunba
The Academy team got off again to a bad start with the two senior openers getting out cheaply.
Again, the juniors stepped up and got the total to 54 runs. Saneeh, constantly improving with each match, scored another 11 runs, Haikal 8.
In reply, Kurunba didnt lose a wicket as they picked off the target. Junior player Mabsar scored 25 not out and sealed the victory with 2 sixes over long on.
Team Kurunba won by 6 wickets.
Match 11 – 28.04.21
United Indians A v United Indians B
The battle of the United Indian player took place today with the B Team batting first. Dr Bhaskar starred with the bat as he made 17 off 12 balls in a low scoring innings total of 58.
In reply, the A Team smashed the total in 4.2 Overs to remain firmly at the top of the table. Captain Mithun top scored with 30 (retired).
United Indians A won by 4 wickets.
Match 12 – 28.04.21
Young Tigers v Dhadimagu Knight Riders
Dhadimagu won the toss and chose to bat first. Things went bad from ball one as both openers fell for a duck. Young Aivan, who has played well throughout the tournament top scored with 12, including a 6 over square leg.
Shakib 2 wickets was the pick of the bowlers whilst the Young Tigers showed excellent fielding.
In reply, they took next to no time to pick off the target of 39. Campus Al Amin stepped up to hit 25 from 6 balls.
Young Tigers won by 4 wickets.
Match 13 – 29.04.21
United Indians A v Dhadimagu Knight Riders
Top team of the tournament United Indians A made it 5 wins out of 5 and have secured their place in the FINAL MATCH.
Batting first, Dhadimagu Knight Riders reached their highest total of the tournament by posting 55 runs. Batsman Areesh was the pick again as he scored 12.
In reply, the top team blasted the required runs from 16 balls.

Match 14 – 29.04.21
United Indians v Team Kurunba
This match saw the victors guarantee a place in the Semi-Final. Batting first, United Indians B romped to a score of 75 runs for 2 wickets off their 6 Overs. Leo made 19 and showed his team mates a return for their faith in keeping him opening for all 5 matches.
In reply, Kurunba began in the worst fashion by losing both ‘in-form’ openers in the first over. After 3 overs team Kurunba needed 42 from 18 balls. Azin (19) and Yaneeu (18) played the correct balls and drove their team to victory and into the semi-finals.

Fuvahmulah Cricket Academy v Young Tigers
The last group match of this years Fuvahmulah Men’s Ramadan Cricket Tournament took place today. With Young Tigers already in the Semi-Final and FCA playing for experience, the pressure was off and resulted in a last ball finish as Young Tigers hit a six to win.
SEMI FINAL – 30.04.21
Young Tigers v Team Kurunba
The much anticipated Semi-final was a tense match between 2 evenly matched teams.
Young Tigers won the toss and chose to field first and opening juniors Mabsar (27) creamed 3 maximums, and Zaadh (26) smashed 4 maximums as Team Kurumba posted an extremely healthy 99.
In reply, Al-Amin (28) and Shobuz (19) gave a good fight but the target got too far away form them with 23 needed off the final Over.
Team Kurunba won by 16 runs.
