FINAL MATCH
FATHAHA STARS v WARAKAPOLA
Fathaha Stars were put into bat first and started exceptionally well. Opener Saidul Islam continued his fine form with a brisk 36* runs from 11 balls including 5 maximums. Mohamed Sohel Miah scored 18 runs from 7 balls to get the team to 78/1 by the halfway point of their 8 Overs innings.
Mehedi Hassan scored a valuable 25 from 13 and Kawser Ahmed chipped in with 12 from 6 balls as they reached an impressive 144/6 from their allotted Overs.
Chandana Amarawickrama and Lahiru Mihiran took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Warakapola lost key wickets early on. A powerful 37 from 15 balls by Mohamed Shiyam and 24 from Shanaja Wara gave their team a chance to chase down the target of 145. However, tight bowling and fielding from Fathaha Stars saw them crowned Champions of this years tournament by closing out the remaining Overs and restricting Warakapola to 111/7.

WARAKAPOLA v SEA MASTER LINES
Sea Master Lines won the first match of this year’s Milo Ramadan Cricket Carnival – Company Tournament against Warakapola.
Mohamed Saheel top scored for SML with 38 from 20 balls and Tharanga Appuhamy 26 from just 6 balls. To bring their teams total to 118/7 from 8 Overs.
Warakapola bowler Sathees Soundharaj took 3 wickets and Susantha Chandrarathna took 2 wickets for just 8 runs – possibly one to watch during this tournament.
In reply, Warakapola, chasing 119 to win, made a good start with Mohamed Shiyam 11 from 11, Nisal Kandarage 28 from 23 and Udana Mihiranga Jayathilaka 20 from 7 balls.
A flurry of wickets taken by Dimesh Dilshan, Asanka Rahal and Jehan Dileesha dampened the challenge as Sea Master Lines held on to defend their total.

MTCC-A v LANKA LION
MTCC A batted first and scored 108 for the loss of 4 wickets. Sirakumar Velli 28, Prem Sujin 36 and Mohamed Rizky did the damage with bat in hand.
In reply, Lanka Lion had Eranda Bandara 22, Amila Jayawardena 10 and Rashika 14 scored all the runs off the bat. When the heavens opened with a terrific downpour they were 55/2…Messers Duckworth and Lewis will make a decision…

VERMILLION v ALIA MALDIVES
In a reduced Overs match Vermillion batted first and scored a big nelson 111 from their 6 Overs. Himantha Gayashan scored 29 and Chaduruwa scored 15 runs. 62 extras allowed Vermillion to set a target of 112 to win.
In reply, ALIA Maldives batsman Asker Hussain led a charge as he scored 33 from 9 balls. Mohamed Salman was the only other batsman to make double figures as they finished their innings with 82 runs for 5 wickets.
