This years Resort Tournament was won by Club Med Kani Resort in this afternoons Final against a strong Meeru Island Team. The victory was earned by fine batting displays from Rasael (46*) and Rasikar (25*). In the first innings, Meeru Island posted an impressive 110/7 off 9.4 overs – the high scorer being ‘Extras – (52)’, assisted by Thushantha (21*) Kumara (16) and Randunu (12). The wickets were shared by all the bowlers.
Club Med achieved the set target of 111 with just 4 balls to spare. A fine game that rounded off an exciting tournament with many close games played by passionate and skilful players.

The penultimate game of the tournament was played to decide the 3rd and fourth places between Kurumba Maldives and Four Seasons Kuda Huraa.
Kurumba posted an aggressive 123/4 off their allocated overs with Dissanayake top scoring with 37 not out…Arkam, Jayarathna and Kumara collected a wicket each.
In reply, Four Seasons racked up the winning runs in 9.3 overs with a sublime innings from Arkam…creaming 48 not out off just 18. He was supported by Rajaratnam (30) and Nishantha (16). 3 wickets fell, 1 each to Israfil, Chakraborty and Chaminda.
