The Cricket Board of Maldives is sending a representative XI to play in the 65th All India Pooja Knockout Cricket tournament 2015. Games will begin on 25th October and will be played at the world famous Tripunithura Cricket Club.
The squad was formally announced this evening and shirts presented at Ekuveni Cricket Ground. Our congratulations goes to those who were selected and in particular to two new previously uncapped squad members; 19 year old Ibrahim Rizan & 15 year old Yoosuf Azyan Farhath.
Travelling with the squad as Tour Manager will be the experienced Imad Ismail who will take care of the responsibilities off the field.
On the field, playing matters will be handled by new Captain, Mohamed Mahfooz and new Vice-Captain Mihusan Hamid. We wish them the best of success and use this opportunity to not only increase their knowledge of the game but also to pass on their knowledge to the team.
