C.B.M. President Meets With Pakistan Ambassador to the Maldives

Cricket Board of Maldives President Mr. Mohamed Aflah and Men’s National Team Coach Mr. Asif Khan met Pakistan Ambassador to the Maldives, Mr. Wasim Akram in Malé earlier today.

Discussions were centred around how the Pakistan High Commission can assit the ongoing improvements to Cricket in the Maldives.

Encouragingly, a proposal sent to the Pakistan Cricket Board requesting that our Men’s National Squad could travel to Lahore, Pakistan to receive training and matches in the Gaddafi International Stadium.

President Aflah has kindly invited the Ambassador to attend the final match of the ongoing Jumhooree T20 Premier League in Maldives as a keen follower of cricket.

Finally, Mr. Akram will be gifting a collection of cricket equipment to the Cricket Board of Maldives in due course.

The President and Cricket Board of Maldives Executive Committee thanks the commitment to sport and particular the support to cricket from the Pakistan High Commission.
