U14 Inter School tournament 2019 started today with a handshake of State minister of youth,sports and Community empowerment Mr.Asad Ali, President of Cricket Board of Maldives Mr. Mohamed Aflah, National Cricket Head Coach Mr. Asif Khan and Development Coach Mr.Nilantha Cooray.
Total of 7 School Participated in this years U14 Cricket Tournament 2019, There are Jamaluddin,Thaajuddin,Muhyiddin,Majeediya,Hiriya, Iskandar and Billa Bong international school.

First match was played against Jamaluddin School vs Muhyiddin School
Muhyiddin won the toss elected to bat, No wicket was taken Abdulla Shafwaan scored 41 runs from 24 balls his partner aiham retiring after making a juicily 17 runs from 19 balls, Maaish came in and smashed 26 runs from 5 balls.
Making a total of 99 runs from 10 overs.
In reply, Jamaluddin School scored 74 runs from 10 overs, top scorer for the team was shaheedh 23 runs from 18 balls, Abdullah Shafwan taking 1 wicket for Muhyiddin School
Muhyiddin School won by 26 runs.
Match No 2:- Iskandar School vs Hiriya School, Iskandar won the toss elected to bat first, Both the openers carried the bat til the end, Abaan scoring his maiden half century (54 runs) and his Partner Raishaan 16 runs, Total 99 runs in 10 overs.
In reply, Hiriya School scored 66 runs in there 10 overs, Dhaey top scorer for the side 16 runs, Yoosuf Raishan Aflah 1 wickets.
Iskandar Won by 34 runs.
Match No 3:- Thaajuddin School vs Billabong International School.
Billabong won the toss and elected to bat first, Tharindhu (11 runs) and Sheheryar (23 runs) opening partnership was a solid start for them, one down batmens saabir smashed 18 runs to help billbong score 85 runs in there 10 overs.
in reply, Chasing a small target of 85 runs, Thaajudin Openers Khalaf (38 runs) and Iz’aan (16 runs) was on fire scoring boundaries from the first balls of the inning it self and finishing in 8 overs loosing only 2 wickets.
Thaajuddin school won by 8 Wickets.
Match No 4:- Majeediya School vs Muhyiddin School,Majeediya won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Muhyiddin taking the advantage of it and making the maximum out of the 10 overs, Abdulla Shafwan carrying the bat to the team scoring a fruitful 91 runs from 29 balls and Maaish Moosa 19 runs from 8 balls helped Muhyiddin School to reach a big target of 140 runs.
In reply, Majeediya School didnt start well loosing captain rayyan within the first over of the inning, Sulaiman top scorer for majeediya 13 runs.
Abdulla Shafwan 2 over 1 maiden 1 runs for 1 wicket.

Muhyiddin School won by 103 runs.
Match No 5:- Jamaluddin School vs Iskandar School
Iskandar School won the toss and elected to bat first,
Yoosuf Raishan (18 runs) and Abaan (33 runs) partnership helped them to get a total of 94 runs in there 10 overs.
in reply, Jamaluddin middle order batsmen Shamaal (20 runs) and SInas (15 runs) put pressure on iskandar side, it was a close game but in the end Iskandar won by 13 runs.
Match No 6:- Thaajuddin School vs Hiriya School, Thaajuddin School won the toss and elected to bat first.Zaidhaan (20 runs) and Hubaib (15 runs) partnership helped Thaajuddin to score 101 runs from 10 overs .
in reply, hiriya School went out to chase down the big total of 101 but managed to score 54 runs in 10 overs, loosing wickets like a fire cracker, Magnificent bowling performance by khalaf 2 over 4 runs for 4 wickets, best bowling figures in this tournament so far.
Thaajuddin School won by 47 runs.
Match No 7:- BillaBong vs Majeediya School, Majeediya
School won the toss elected to bat first. Sulaiman (20 runs) and Mubah (19 runs) helped Majeediya to get 68 runs from 10 overs. Sabir,Shaurya,Sheheryar and Sasun shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, Majeediya School gave away 44 runs in extras helped billabong school to finish it within 8 overs, Sabir 12 runs.
Billabong won by 8 wickets.
Match No 8:- Iskandar School vs Muhyiddin School, Iskandar School won the toss elected to bat, Abaan 14 runs and Raishaan 20 runs helped to score 62 runs from 10 overs.
in reply, Dangerous Shafwaan started well scoring 22 runs from 8 bowls but short after he was bowled by Zayaan, Saaif from muhyiddin school wore the cape and finished the game for muhyiddin school in 6 overs. Zayaan,Raishan and Affan shared 1 wicket each.
Muhyiddin School won by 7 wickets.
Match No 09:- Jamaluddin School vs Hiriya School. Officials for the match Rizan,Rassam and Shamma
Jamaluddin School won the toss and elected to bat first,
Captain shaheed scored 41 runs from 24 balls, no other batsmen got into two digit figures, Jamaluddin Managed to score 84 runs from 10 overs.
In reply, Two Openers Mohamed Dhaey and Ahil tried there very best to get a victory but 7 run short. Dhaey 25 runs and Ahil 17 runs.
Jamaluddin School won by 7 runs.
Match No 10:- Thajuddin School vs Majeediya School. Officials for the match Aiham,Adam and Rizan
Thajuddin School won the toss and elected to bat first, Khalaf 19 runs, Zaidhaan 14 runs, Maaz 12 runs and Iz’aan 14 runs helped Thaajuddin to finish in a good total of 104 runs.
In reply, Mubah 11 runs was the only two digit figure for Majeediya School, Iz’aan 2 wickets and Maaz and Maheel shared on wicket each.
Thaajuddin Won by 36 runs.
Match No 11:- Billabong international school vs Muhyiddin School. Official for the Adam, Aiham and Rizan.
Muhyiddin school won the toss and elected to bat first.
Two match he has failed to score runs Adbullah Shafwan out for 0 in yesterdays game. But that didnt hold others players from going after billabong bowlers, Maaish 20 runs, Saaif 17 runs and Aiham 24 runs helped Muhyiddin finish in a good total of 98 runs. Dewin and Shaurya shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, Billabong fought hard but in the end they lost by 26 runs, Thahaa runs and Shaurya 13 runs was the only two digit mark.
Muhyiddin School won by 26 runs.
Match No 12:- Thaajuddin School vs Jamaluddin School,
Jamaluddin won the toss and elected to bat first.
Shamal 12 runs is the top score for the team as they finish the inning for 69 runs.
Shammakh 2 wickets,Maheel and Khalaf shared a wicket each.
In reply, Jamaluddin fought hard taking quick three wickets, but captain Maaz’s 28 runs helped to take his team to the finishing line.
Thaajuddin School won by 7 wickets.
Match no 13:- Iskandar School vs Majeediya School
Iskandar won the toss and elected to bat.
Usual openers for Iskandar school Abaan scoring his second 50 in the tournament. Abaan 61 runs and Raishaan’s 33 runs helped Iskandar to finish the inning in a good total of 119 runs.
In reply, majeediya School captain Rayan 15 runs, finally came into party but failed to hold his team mates in the crease, loosing wickets like a fire cracker, Majeediya School ending the inning with 82 runs.
Iskandar School won by 37 runs.
Match No 14:- Muhyiddin School vs Thaajuddin School
Muhyiddin School won the toss and elected to bat first.
Once again the dangerous in form batsmen Abdullah Shafwan was bowled out by Khalaf for just 3 runs.
Saaif 12 runs and aiham 14 runs helped Muhyiddin to snail away for a low target of 61 runs.
In reply, Thaajuddin two openers Zaidhaan 15 runs and Maaz 30 runs finish the game in style in the 6th overs.
Thaajuddin won by 10 Wickets.
Match No 15:- Jamaluddin School vs Billabong international school , Billabong won the toss elected to bat first, Captain Sheheriya’s 26 runs helped them to score a low score of 82 runs from 60 balls.
In reply, Jamaluddin Captain shaheed got runout by sheriya for just 2 runs, from there no one there to support Vice captain shamal, end up scoring 54 runs in 60 balls.
Billabong won by 28 runs.
Match No 16:- Thaajuddin School vs Iskandar School. This was a must win match for iskandar side,Iskandar won the toss elected to bat first. No change in the side, Opening pair Yoosuf and Abaan open the game, In form abaan scoring 41 runs from 29 balls when yoosuf helped him with 14 runs. no wickets were down, iskandar putting a target of 85 runs.
In reply, Thaajudin zaidhaan came in strong, Kept on hitting from the first ball of the innings, Zaidhaan scoring 64 runs from 18 balls and Khalaf un beating 11 runs help them to win in 5 over time.
Match No 17:- Hiriya School vs Majeediya School, Hiriya won the toss elected to bat first, Extras was leading the runs chase for hiriya side aahil 10 runs was the only two digit mark for the team, hiriya ending the inning with 72 runs.
In reply, Suliaman went hard scoring 15 runs from 6 balls but Dhaey bowled him out after that, Captain Rayan stayed on the crease till the end and make sure Majeediya win this time, Rayan scoring 9 runs.
Majeediya won by 8 wickets.
Match No 18:- Iskandar school vs Billabong international school, Iskandar won the toss elected to bat first, In form Abaan was caught out by the bowler in a return catch it was a diving catch for sasun he holds on to it. But loosing abaan didnt stop Yoosuf from scoring runs, he kept pushing for ones and twos, he tried his very best to finish in a good total but manage to score only 72 runs for the team.
In reply, Billabong wanted to finish the game early Thahaa scoring fruitful 29 runs from 15 balls helped billbong to finish there match in 7 overs time.
Billabong won by 8 Wickets.
Match No 19:- Muhyiddin School vs Hiriya School, Hiriya won the toss elected to bat first, Aahil 18 runs and Maaish 12 runs helped Hiriya to finish there innings for 70 runs from 60 balls.
In reply, In form batmens shafwan came to the party and scored a fruitful 32 runs and his partner Saaif scored 25 runs, Muhyiddin finish the game in 5 overs.
Muhyiddin won by 10 Wickets.
Match No 20:- Jamaluddin School vs Majeddiya School
Jamaluddin School won the toss elected to bat first, Captain shaheed scored 16 runs and Shamal 14 runs helped Jamalauddin school to finish there innings for 89 runs.
Mubah and Shihad shared 1 wicket each.
in reply, Majeediya came at jamaluddin strong, Sulaiman and Rayan finished the game for the side in 6 overs. Sulaiman was un stoppable, scoring 57 runs, his maiden half century of the tournament. Rayan 20 runs.
Majeediya won by 10 Wickets.
Match No 21:- hiriya School vs Billabong International School
Billabong won the toss and elected to bat first,. saabir 30 and sheheriya 44 runs. finishing the inning for 114 runs.
In reply, It was a big total for hiriya side, they managed to score 57 runs in 60 balls.
Saabir 2 wickets.
Billabong won by 57 runs.
Match No. 22 – GRAND FINAL
Muhiyiddin School vs Thaajudheen School.
Umpires – Adam Nasif Umar and Aiham Ziyad. Scorer – Ibrahim Rizan and Shaffa. Match Referee – Asif Khan.
Thaajudheen win all matches in the league, 6 out of 6 and Muhiyiddin School win 5 matches in the league. Thaajudheen beat Muhiyiddin by 10 wickets in the league match.
Result of Final Match – Thaajudheen win by 5 wickets.
Muhiyiddin win toss and elected to bat. Scored 86 for loss of 4 wickets. Thaadh Mohamed Faisal 11 Runs and Ismail Saif 36 Runs in just 17 balls. I. Ahmed Mohamed bowled 2 overs for 14 runs taking 2 wickets. A Rasheed and Z Mohamed each one wicket.
In reply Thaajudheen Started well scoring 10 runs per over until 4 over, took 2 quick wickets and brought the run rate down. But TS change the gear to score over 10 runs per over to complete 87 in 10 overs. Top score from I. Abdul Azeez 27 off 18 balls and M.Maaz 21 off 10 balls. Wickets for Shafaan and I. saaif, Mohamed Faisal.
End of match awards were presented by Cricket Board of Maldives Vice President and EXCO Members,Madih Ismail, Mohamed Ali Manik, Mohamed Faisal and Secretary General Ali Faiz.
