Hobbyst won the Allora Ramadan Carnival Open tournament beating Marleys Mellows in a dramatic final.
Marleys Mellows won the toss and batted first. They started slowly and never took off the block as wickets fell quickly. Ameel (25) and Rishwan (17) performed well at the top. They managed only 66 runs for the loss of 5 wickets at the close of the innings.
Hobbyst started chasing the low target confidently, but were pegged back by good bowling from the Mellows. Shafeeg and Ameel took 2 wickets each to shake the Hobbyst batsman. Shahid (11) and Afzal (13) top scored. In the end 31 extras given away by Marleys Mellows was the telling difference between the two teams.
