Pan Ocean vs OCC Investments – OCC Investments Won by 6 Wickets
The Final of this years Company Tournament was won in determined style by OCC Investments today at Ekuveni Cricket Ground.
Pan Ocean batted first and reached exactly 100/7. Top scorer Harsha with 39 off 24 balls was assisted by Vikun with 26 off 8 balls and Buddika with 4 off 7 balls.
Wickets were taken by Dilshan (2 for 14) and Nishanthan (2 for 23).
In reply, OCC Investments took 7.1 overs to reach three figures and the WINNING score of 103/2. Piyal knocked 33 off 14 balls whilst Jeewa smashed 32 of just 12 balls. Eranga (2), Mohammed (9) and the evergreen Nilantha Cooray (9) all chipped in to secure the COAST Company Tournament title for 2015.
The deceptively quick Chandhana scooped the only wickets for Pan Ocean; 1 caught by Malith and the other clean bowled Mohammed.
The awards for the finalists and a cheque of 30,000 for the winners were presented today by Ibrahim Shareef, Sales & Marketing Manager, BHM Traders. Mr Shareef also congratulated the Cricket Board of Maldives for organising such a successful tournament and BHM Traders looks forward to supporting cricket in the Maldives for many years to come.
