Education teaches a cricketing lesson to Immigration whilst CRC wrong foot the Presidents Office.
The ‘COAST Ramadan Cricket Carnival – Office Tournament’ began at Ekuveni Cricket Ground in Malé today under overcast conditions. The first 2 games provided wins for ‘Education’ and for ‘CRC’ and a solid foundation to their campaigns to win the prestigious title!
Education v Immigration (Education won by 42 Runs)
Santhosh (5), Dileep (10), Faiz (34), Sankar (32), Deepak (6), Ebin (1). Hassan Riyaz and Ali Navau bagged one wicket each.
In reply Immigration manage to score 74 runs in 8 overs for the loss of 2 wickets.
Ahmed Amir (12), Adil Ali (08), Hassan Riyaz (15) and Navau (15). Deepak and Faiz scooped a wicket each.
CRC v President Office (CRC won by 15 Runs)
PO won the toss and decided to take to the field. CRC scored 104/4 in 8 overs with contributions from Mahmood Riyaz (23), M. Haikal (23), Faisal (0), A.Shareef (4), Ibrahim Rasheed (1), Ismail Shareef (2). Mohamed Shaheel (2), M. Shareef and Moosa Rasheed tallied one wicket each.
In reply PO manage to score 89/5 off the full 8 overs. Top scorer, Shaheel (12), I.Hussain (10), Moosa Rasheed (8) runs. Faisal (2) couldn’t achieve the competitive target set. CRC economical bowlers, Haikal, M.Riyaz, Shareef shared 1 wicket a piece.
