An Official Ceremony took place at the Indoor Cricket Hall, Malé on Thursday evening to recognise the kind donation of over 1000 items of playing equipment from the people of Pakistan to the people of Maldives.
Special Guests V.Adm (Retd) Waseem Akram, Ambassador of Pakistan to Maldives and Dr. Aishath Ali, Minister of Education were greeted warmly by CBM President Mohamed Aflah along with members of the Maldives Men’s National Team and junior cricket programmes.
The donation of playing equipment and playing attire demonstrates the determination of the CBM to have closer ties with our powerful cricketing neighbours to assist the development of cricket throughout the Maldives.
The CBM wishes to express its thanks and gratitude to the Pakistan Ambassador to Maldives and his staff for their efforts to help develop cricket across the country.
