Long Service Awards were presented to three Maldivians by the International Cricket Council in recognition of their outstanding dedication and commitment to the development and growth of cricket in a ceremony to conclude the ICC Level 2 Educator Course and a High-Performance Workshop held in Maldives over the past week.
Faruhath Jaleel, Mohamed Nasir and Ahmed Ishaq, were presented with the annual awards for 2022, 2023 & 2024 respectively by ICC Development Manager (Asia) Aminul Islam and ICC Development Officer Iqbal Sikandar.
The CBM welcomed the Honourable Minister for Sports, Fitness & Recreation, Abdulla Rafiu and Ministers of State, Mohamed Riyaz, Abdul Razak Ibrahim and Mariyam Nazima to the event and appreciate the strong support provided by the Ministry and particularly, the Maldives National Institute of Sport to hold this training programme in the Maldives.
Mohamed Faisal, CBM President and Ahmed Hussain, CBM Vice-President commented that Maldives Cricket will strive to work with the Ministry to build upon this event and work towards hosting further training opportunities and international cricket events.
For this first ICC training programme to be held in the Maldives, the CBM has welcomed participants from all over Asia. The feedback from participants and officials has been positive and will leave long lasting memories in for all involved. 24 – 27 July – ICC Level 2 Educator Course
