Qatar won by 98 runs.
Maldives won the toss for the second consecutive match. This time captain Mahfooz put the men from Qatar into bat.
Both openers fell early to the wily off-break of Adam Nasif. Rizlan showed his class by reaching 62 off 46 before getting trapped LBW by Rizan.
Another 3 wickets were snaffled by the spinners, 1 more for Adam and a brace for the Maldives skipper as the Qatari batsmen chose their shots to reach a reasonable 154/6 from 20 Overs.
After the 10 minutes break, the Maldives openers tried to lay foundations for a target chase until top scorer Ahmed Hassan was caught.
The remaining batsmen fought bravely against some extreme pace and tricky spin bowling as Nadeem collected 4 wickets in Maldives total of 56 all out.
The team have two rest days before a 11am start against Bahrain on Wednesday.
