Maldives v Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia won by 7 wickets.
Maldives captain Mahfooz won the toss and chose to bat first putting Azyan and Ahmed Hassan as openers.
Wickets fell at regular intervals with 1 each for the six bowlers used and an additional 3 run outs.
Nashath ticked along with 20 from 50 balls whilst batsmen came and went. Big hitter Rishwan was unable to get going and a late rally by Hassan Ibrahim got the men in red to 98/9 from their 20 Overs.
In reply, Adam Nasif bagged Cheema second ball of the innings and picked up another late on.
The Saudi Batsmen took control using the overs available to record a comfortable first match win of the tournament.
The team will regroup tonight and be fresh for tomorrow afternoons encounter with Qatar from 3pm Maldives time.
