Cricket Board of Maldives President Mohamed Aflah is attending the International Cricket Council (ICC) Annual Conference in Dublin, Ireland this week.
President Aflah has conducted a ‘Best Practice Showcase’ this afternoon by presenting the Maldives achievements in women’s cricket. This was the Presidents chance to show the countless officials from all over the world in attendance, the efforts made by the CBM to grow women’s cricket.
The ICC Annual Conference is a great opportunity to meet other friends from other countries that are responsible for the growth and development in their regions.
As the Asia regional representative to the ICC, Mr Aflah is using this time in Ireland to reach out to the decision makers and understand in-depth where Maldives fits into the global plans of cricket. Likewise, this is a valuable opportunity to inform the ICC of the successes achieved across our nation as well as the trials faced in a sparsely populated country.
