India – Maldives Friendship Cricket Series 2019
Air India Cricket Team arrived on 14th February with all officials and delegates received by the Honourable Minister for Youth, Sports & Community Empowerment Ahmed Mauloof and C.B.M. Executive Committee members at the V.I.P. lounge of Velana International Airport.
After a news conference the team departed to Paradise Island Resort where an official dinner was held for the three teams that participated in the friendly series.

Match No. 1 Indian Airlines vs Maldives National Cricket team.
Air India won by 8 wickets.
Maldives National Cricket team won the toss and elected to bat first reaching 129 for 8 in their 15 overs with a top score from Ahmed Hassan (33 Runs off 19 balls) and Adam Nasif Umar (22 off 13 balls) and Azyan Faruhath chipped in 20 from 19 balls.
Three wickets were snapped up by Rana, two by S.Singh and one wicket each for Sodhi and Sharma.
In reply, the Air India team scored 130 in the 15th over loosing 2 wickets. R. Parkash the pick of the batsmen with 68 off 36 balls and M. Bisla 36 off 22 balls with a wicket each for bowlers Azyan and Mahafooz.
Match No. 2 President XI vs Indian Airlines team.
Indian Airlines win by 6 wickets.
Winning the toss the President XI decided to bat reaching 182 for loss of 3 wickets in 15 overs.
Top score from CBM President Mohamed Aflah 64 off 46 balls. A. Shafeeu was out for 14, Moosa Kaleem retired on 38, Vice President Faisal Naseem 13 and President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih 3 not out. For Air India, Singh took one wicket and World Cup winner Yuvraj bowled 4 overs, 26 runs for 1 wicket.
In reply, Air India team scored 143 for the loss of 4 wickets off their 15 overs. Top score from S.Singh (29), Shah (40) and R. Prakash. Pick of the Presidents XI bowlers was Neesham taking 2 wickets.
