8 out of 9 group games were successfully completed before the rain set in and flooded the ground making play impossible for the rest of the day.
The semi-finals and final will be now played on 28th September beginning at 10am at Ekuveni Cricket Ground, Malé.
Even though there was still 1 group game remaining in Group 1, it would not have affected the final positions, with Four Seasons Resort Kuda Huraa & Club Med Kani Resort making it through tpo the last 4.
In Group 2 Kurumba Maldives won both matches to advance along with Meeru Island Resort.
Commiserations go to Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa, Velassaru Maldives, and Jumeirah Vittaveli. These teams performed with great enthusiasm all day and we look forward to watching them play again in the next tournament.
