First T20 Division 1 Cricket tournament started today, six clubs will be competing in the competition. Competition schedule is same as the Asia Cup 2018 with two teams elliminated after the first round. After completion of first round 4 teams will play each other.
Today CBL Sports beat Male Sports club by 13 (DL).
On a cloudy and wet pitch, Male Sports club win toss and elected field. Harris and Ismail Nihad came strong on a very strong batting line up from CBL, Ismail Nihad removed in form Ismail Ali for 8, Rishwan 01 was run out by a direct hit from wicket keeper Piyal. Mahafooz claimed 2 wickets in two ball, M.Miah for 2 and Hassan Haziq for 0. Shahid was patient scored 32 off 37 ball. It was Adam Nasif Umar who change the momentum scoring 39 off 25 balls scoring 2 big sixes and 2 fours. Muaviath was the last to get out 14 runs. CBL Sports Club all out 120 in 19.4 overs.
M.Mahafooz 3 overs 15 for 3 wickets, Adam Nasir 30/2 Ahmed Neesham also took 2 wickets.
In reply Male Sports club started well Samy scoring 17 off 18 balls. Throughout the game Male Sports club were behind on D/L. Umpires stop the match in the 12th over. Male Sports Club score 56 for 5 wickets in 11.1 overs, 13 Runs behind (DL). One again it was Adam Nasif Umar 4 overs 19 for 2, Ameel and Saafee shared a wicket each.

Hinnavaru Hiriya won toss and elected to bat. 127 for 5 in 13 overs. Due to rain, match was reduce to 13 overs a side. Azyan and Shafraz gave a good start for Milan. Shafraz 20, Azyan 57 off 37 balls. Looth and Mafaaz took a wicket each.
In reply Hinnavaru Hiriya scored 106 for loss of 3 wickets, Ahmed Hassan Sobir not out on 70 off 37 balls a strike rate of 189.19. S. Rahman scored 19. Only wicket for Ahmed Hassan…

New Star win toss on a wet pitch decided to bowl. Shafraz, Azyan and A.Hassan gave good start to Milan 98/3 in 13 overs, Azyan 49 off 37 balls and Ahmed Hassan 29 off 30 balls. Azzam 12 no other batsman reached double figure. 134/9 in 20 overs. Faheem taking 4 wickets for 22 runs. Rauf taking two wickets for 23 Runs.
In reply New Star lost frequent wicket until Adam Zameel came and scored a quick 29 off 24 balls. A Munir 15 Runs. Izuwan 13 Runs. Yoosuf Azyan 18 for 3 in 3 overs. Nashath 2 wickets for 8 runs.

West Sports Club win toss and elected to Field on a overs reduce match, due to heavy rain umpires decide to play 9 overs a side.
CBL Sports 84/3 in 9 overs, Ismail Ali 23 off 16, Abdulla Shahid 24 off 15 and Mohamed Rishwan 25 off 16 balls. M. Hossain claimed two wickets for 10 runs in his 2 overs.
In reply West Sports were all out 42 in the 8th over. Only Nur Alam scored 11 no other batman reached double figure. Adam Nasif taking 4 wickets for 8 Runs in 2 overs. Rizan and Saafee each 2 wickets.

Male sports won the toss elected to field first, due to weather and ground we had to reduce the over to 13 overs, West sports started well going ten runs an over when Mohamed Mahafooz and Simion came and took there run rate down, Mahafooz 3 overs 6 runs for 1 and Simion Harris 3 over 17 for 3 Wickets. west manage to score 94 runs in there 13 overs.
in reply, Male sports lost there first wicket in the first over, pressure on the batting side Piyal and Ishaq played well both had a 50 run partnership but piyal got for 24 runs, Male sports needed 18 runs in 6 balls captain Mohamed Mahafooz hit two 6’s in the last over and and the score was tied for both teams,
played a super over male sports batting first simion harris and mohamed mahafooz put 20 runs on the board.
in reply, West sports only managed to score 6 runs.

New star won by 9 wickets

Hinnavaru hiriya won the toss and elected to bat, top gun Ahmed Sabir went for 6, then rain was interrupted, Match officials decided to play 6 overs, Hinnavaru hiriya scoring 39 runs, Asad Munir 2 wickets.
In reply, Mohamed Rauf and Hassan Ali finished easily for the New star side in the 4th over.

Milan win toss and elected to bat. Ismail Ali and Abdulla Shahid gave a good start to CBL scoring 8 runs per over. Ismail was b by Shadhuhan for 25, Shahid batted till 19.5 overs, scoring 94 off 55 balls. Rishwan chipped 21 off 12 and Captain Haziq 22 off 18, Nasif also scored 13 off 6 balls. 185/5 in 20 overs. Ahmed Hassan 4 overs 24 for 2 wickets while Shahdhuan took 1 wicket for 30 runs.
In reply Milan manage to score 125 loosing 7 wickets in the allocated 20 overs. Shafraz started well socring 10 in the first over, buy Saafee did the damage taking Shafraz for 11 runs. Azyan top socre with 32 off 32 ball. Captain hassan ibrahim Not out 28 off 26 balls. A.Hassan 13 and Azzam scored 14 off 13 balls. Rizan bolwed 4 overs 2 wickets for 17 runs. Kausar, Saafee and Shahid each one wicket.

Malé Sports Club won by 7 wickets

Malé Sports win toss and elected to field. New Star were all out 123 in 17.4 overs, contribution from Adam Zameel 26, Hassan Ali 23 and Jameel Ahmed 16. It was Ishaq Easa Muzzamill who took away the game from New Star, taking 5 wickets for 25 runs in 3.4 overs. Mohamed Mahafooz also took 3 wickets for 26 runs.
In reply Malé Sports Club finished the game in 12th over. 124 for 3 wickets. Mohamed Shiyam scored 62 in 24 balls. Samy Riza gave a good start for Male sports Club scoring 32 off 29 balls. Wickets for Faheem, Thariq and Adam Zameel.

Man of the Match: Shafraz Jaleel (Milan Cricket Academy)
Milan win toss and elected to bat. 200 for 3 wickets. Most of the run came from openers Shafraz and Azyan. Both openers put 133 in the 14th over before Azyan was caught by Luyaau for 57 off 41 balls. Shafraz continue his innings until he was caught by Baloch off Tharig for 86 off 53 balls. Azzam chipped away 40 taking away Milan score to 200. Faheem, Thariq and Adam each one wicket.
In reply New Star started very slow, as Milan was smart enough to use there spin attack from the start. Yaugoob completed his 4 overs for 24 claming one wicket.
Shadhuhan 3 overs 19 for one wicket. At 7.2 overes rain stop the match. Umpires were not able to continue the match so match was called off. New Star need 68 in 7.2 overs. New Star managed to score 46 loosing 2 wickets. Zameel 17 and Bloch 16.
