Today the Cricket Board of Maldives held an event to launch a sponsorship partnership with Milo and Lily Enterprises as well as media partnerships with RaajjeTV and Adhadhu News.
These collaborations are a vital part of the ‘Towards 2030’ Cricket Development Programme launched at last weeks CBM Annual General Meeting.
CBM President Mohamed Faisal spoke of the need to build strong professional partnerships for the success of the Towards 2030 plan for the next 8 years ahead.
He added that financial support from sponsors were vital in this process as well as media relationships that take cricket to a wider audience. He noted the CBM will work with a number of partners for mutual benefit.
CBM Secretary General Ahmed Munaz expanded further noting that in these most unique of times, all sports and cricket in particular are required to reach out to the public in new and responsive ways to increase awareness of the many positive benefits cricket can provide.
Between 2015 and 2021, private investment in sport globally has been decreasing year on year so for the CBM to achieve these sponsorship agreements demonstrates the belief companies have that their funding will be used pro-actively for the betterment of sport throughout our nation.
