A successful event for juniors and new cricketers was held on 13th July at Ekuveni Cricket Ground. Thanks to all the coaches and C.B.M. Executive Committee Members who helped make the event fun and entertaining.
The event began with an interesting warm up session led by some of the coaches. Several Cricket skills were tested in a two hour session. Boys and Girls had an opportunity to complete all six skills.
A badge was awarded once they finish the event. It was nice to see all kids completed all skills. A total of 210 kids took part in the carnival.
All the participants also was given a small present from Cricket Board of Maldives.
Activities
Big 6’s – player given to smash the ball anywhere in the ground.
Sling shot – three hoops have to hit through the hoops.
Hit the can – 6 cans placed on a table and check the accuracy, by breaking down the cans from a 5 and 10 meter distance.
Rapid Fire – coach throw 5 balls up in there and your supposed catch it asap
Ice cream run – checking the balance of the players, a cone placed on the player head and a ball over the cone, run up and down 20 meters without dropping the ball.
Tic tac toe – interesting game to check IQ and thinking power, two team to play tick tac toe.
Special tanks to all CBM coaches, Women’s Cricket Team, EXCO members who took part and finally the parents who arrange a wonderful tea end of the event.
