This 50 Overs format is what many consider the prime length of match where a player can demonstrate all aspects of cricket to a great technical level. Following the ‘International One Day’ format and playing against opposition teams from many upwardly moving cricketing countries will be fantastic exposure for our home grown players. After 3 years without any regional youth cricket, all of of the players, staff and officials at the Cricket Board of Maldives are excited to show the rest of the world what we are capable of achieving on the cricket field. Most importantly, this opportunity rewards those players that have waited so long and worked extremely hard through recent uncertain times.
Best of luck to all involved!
